Update: Week 1 Recap

Week 1 of the 2014 Readers' Choice is in the history books.

After much anticipation, the polls for the 2014 Readers' Choice opened last week. Voting kicked off Monday, August 4th and things got exciting right out of the gate. With more than a dozen new categories to vote in and hundreds of new nominees, the first few days saw a frenzy of activity. After the first week, we counted a whopping total of 1,388 nominations and more than 28,000 votes.

The 2014 contest is off to such a great start because Readers' Choice voters are passionate about the things that make the Delaware area great! Up Next

After a strong first week, we expect Delaware area voters to keep their foot on the pedal. Nominees that got out to fast starts may be sitting pretty in first place now, but with the polls open until 31st of August, complacency is not an option. Until next week!
