    Delaware Children's Museum

I spent a day here with an old friend from High School, our grandchildren, and my daughter. The kids had a blast, and we "older folk" had no problem finding a nearby bench where we could rest our legs and chat while we were watching and playing with the kids. It is the most "grown-up friendly" Children's Museum I have ever been to. The only enhancements I would suggest are that there be a notice to bring a bagged lunch for day trips and that a coffee bar be provided for adults. This Grandma did so much running about that she really needed a cup of coffee to help her keep up with the kids!

I do not drive, so don't visit often myself. However, after reading as sale ad in the newspaper, I circled my selections and gave it to a friend to pick up for me. He gave the ad to the clerk, who cheerfully collected the items I wanted while my friend did his own shopping. THAT's what I call service!

  • Hollywood Diner

I'm from South Philadelphia suburbs, so this place is a "high-end" for what I'm accustomed to calling a diner. However, I work nearby and have enjoyed many take-out brunches and a couple of dinners here. The atmosphere is great, and the hostesses know how to seat you, whether you are there for family dining, business, on a date, or solo. The food is excellent, and service is outstanding.
